Infrared saunas are becoming increasingly popular among spa hotels, and for good reason. Offering infrared sauna treatments as part of the wellness experience has proven to be a smart and successful choice. An IR sauna doesn't just provide guests with a soothing and restorative experience, it's also a wise investment that can improve the facility's profitability.
For over twenty years, Tylö has been a leading provider of infrared saunas, and demand continues to grow. We've delivered numerous IR sauna rooms to spa hotels all over Sweden, including Skepparholmen Nacka, Hotel Tylösand, and Clarion Hotel Karlatornet in Gothenburg.
Calm and comforting at Skepparholmen Nacka
When the Skepparholmen Nacka spa and conference hotel planned its renovation, the goal was to improve its existing spa experience while introducing something new and energizing for its guests. Seeing the growing interest in infrared saunas, they chose to install one from Tylö.
We created a calm and welcoming environment where the contrast of materials embodies both natural and modern design. The interior features Tylö's sleek alder wood panels with decorative Classic panels, adding texture and complementing the wall-mounted infrared panels. The result is a warm and inviting IR experience that enhances the spa's value.
Biohacking at Hotel Tylösand
Hotel Tylösand is one of the country's top spa hotels, situated on Sweden's southwest coast. They have recently introduced an innovative concept called biohacking, which incorporates infrared treatments, laser therapy, and LED facial masks. The goal is to use infrared technology to support recovery and enhance both inner and outer beauty.
When selecting equipment for their IR treatments, the choice naturally fell on Tylö – specifically, our IR cabins aptly called "Tylösand." The hotel already used other sauna products from Tylö and was highly satisfied with their quality and experience.
Clarion Hotel Karlatornet: Sauna comfort at new heights
As part of a broader delivery of saunas to Karlatornet in Gothenburg, Tylö also equipped the spa at Clarion Hotel Karlatornet. The concept featured a traditional dry sauna with integrated infrared panels in the walls, offering a flexible and multi-sensory wellness experience. The interior includes ribbed walls and ceilings made of heat-treated aspen, giving a sleek, modern look, with lighting designed to complement the space's overall design.
How do spa hotels profit from Tylö's infrared saunas?
Infrared saunas are popular and valued spa features, but they also make a lucrative business investment. Analyzing data from different spa hotels reveals that IR saunas can quickly pay for themselves and contribute to long-term profitability. Here are two examples:
